PTA Art Reflections Program

PTA Art Reflections is a National PTA sponsored arts program. Each year, over 300,000 students create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

The program recognizes students at the Local, Region, State and National levels. At each level entries are judged on interpretation of the theme, creativity and artistic merit.

The theme for the 2020-2021 program year is - I Matter Because...

Students need to submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.

Click the following links for the entry form, more information about general participation rules and specific arts categories rules: Participation Rules and Entry Form.

  • All CWE students are invited to participate by creating a new original artwork inspired by the theme in one or more of the Arts Categories with no limit to the number of entries in a single category.

  • Students may enter in any or all of the six art categories. Multiple entries within a single arts category are permitted.

  • Participants are highly encouraged to explain how their work relates to the theme in their Artist Statements.

  • Students K-2 submit their artwork in the Primary Division and students 3-5 in the Intermediate Division.
