Why contribute to CPD?

The CWE PTA is a non-profit organization that is managed 100% by parent volunteers. We have three main goals we attempt to achieve each year:

1. Enrich the student experience. We do this by running additional programs, like Hands on Science and Art a la Carte, as well as by funding school assemblies and field trips.

2. Provide support to our faculty which helps us to obtain and retain the best teachers in the district. As an organization, we aim to meet teacher and administration's requests for supplies, and we express our gratitude with our teacher appreciation program.

3. Create a sense of community to all Commonwealth families. We achieve this goal by reaching out and encouraging all parents to volunteer and join the PTA. We also host a monthly coffee meet up and put on a school wide Carnival.

Over 90% of our income comes from the generous donations of our parents through the Cougar Pride Drive. We truly believe that the PTA makes a difference at Commonwealth Elementary. We hope you will consider becoming a member and volunteer with us.
