Message from the President

I hope everyone enjoyed a safe and yummy Thanksgiving. Thank you to all volunteers who created some holiday spirit around campus with festive door decorations. I am also excited to have some Watch DOGS back in action. I know the students LOVE seeing dads around school. And a huge shout out to the room reps who have donated many hours planning and preparing for some fun holiday parties. What a great way to send the kiddos off on vacation! I would also like to bid a fond farewell to Ms. Debbie Lazarou. Ms. Debbie has been a staple at CWE for the past eight years greeting families and ensuring things flow smoothly. We will miss you and we wish you the best of luck in your retirement! I hope you all enjoy a happy, safe, and festive holiday break!

The CWE PTA would like to congratulate, Ms. Debbie Lazarou on her retirement. We are so thankful for her 8 years at CWE. She has been such an integral part of each and every family at CWE. We wish her the best in her new adventures!

Shared Dreams Mac N Cheese Drive

Our Mac N Cheese drive is under way! We are collecting boxes of Mac N Cheese to support FBISD's Shared Dreams program which helps families in our district combat food instability. Your donation will directly help families in our district during Winter Break. We appreciate your donation! The food drive is now through December 10th. The grade level with the greatest number of boxes donated will win a free recess!

October Volunteer of the Month

Our VIPS of the month for October is Yulin Xuan, who did and AMAZING job of coordinating, prepping, and running the Hands on Science in October! We are so grateful for the numerous hours Yulin put in to make sure our students could participate in these additional fun and exciting science experiments!

Please remember to submit your volunteer hours for the month of November by December 10th. You can do this either by logging into the PTA website and clicking on Volunteer--> Record Volunteer Hours, or you can email our VIPS coordinator, Shelley Rixner, directly at volunteercwe@gmail.com. We want to make sure the District knows what great support our school has from our volunteers! And this month especially we know there were a lot of great volunteers helping out with Hands on Science!
