Message from the President

Happy February, Cougars. We are excited to be able to roll out more of our programs and enrichment opportunities for our kiddos this term. The students have already enjoyed a BMX assembly. Another outdoor adventure with the Crocodile Encounter has been booked, as well. The students LOVE these opportunities. We have World Culture Day in March, with lessons on diversity and international culture happening this month. Thanks to all who have signed up to help with this event. Stay tuned for more opportunities as we prepare more programs for the Spring. Please submit any pictures for yearbook you may have (details below) as it is extra hard for our yearbook chair when volunteers cannot enter the school. And, believe it or not, elections and the selection of next year’s board is right around the corner. Please reach out if you are interested in chairing or assisting with a program! And as always, I welcome your comments, questions, and feedback.

January Volunteer of the Month

January VIPS of the month is Pepsi Chai, Teacher Appreciation Chairperson! Pepsi has been doing an amazing job of making sure our teachers are appreciated and coordinating meals, notes, etc. Thank you Pepsi for helping our teachers feel loved and appreciated!

Just a reminder to submit your volunteer hours for January. You can do this either through the PTA website or email the VIPS coordinator directly at volunteercwe@gmail.com. Remember that volunteer hours are anything you do for the school outside of the school (as those hours are captured and reported directly to the District via Raptor). This includes attending PTA meetings, spending time at the teacher center to help your teacher, etc. Let's continue to show the district how much wonderful parent support we have!
