Hello Cougar Parents,

     Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! CWE PTA thanks all the cougar parents who donated towards our CPD fundraiser and helped us go beyond our budgeted amount. We were able to achieve more than $57,000 with a record-breaking above 80% parent participation. Each dollar raised goes directly back to our kids and school. There are a lot of events and activities planned for the coming year and this amount will help us conduct every one of them. 

     This month we will have our Muffins with Mom, WATCH DOGS, and Carnival. Submissions of Art Reflections are also due this month. Next month we will have Hands-On-Science, WATCH DOGS (which was much appreciated) and Art A La Carte exhibition. I would highly recommend all of you to come and see the amazing works of our kids.

     As always please feel free to contact any of us from the CWE PTA board if you need further clarification or have suggestions for our PTA. We would love to see our parents be a part of our various events. Do sign up to volunteer and help us do more for the kids and school.

Students in Grades K through 5 can create original art work based on the above theme in one of the following art categories: • Dance Choreography • Music Composition • Film Production • Photography • Literature • Visual Arts

Join children and adults around the world to celebrate the benefits of exercising by biking/walking to school on October 12th, 2022.

Spirit Nights is a fundraiser for Commonwealth PTA conducted at a restaurant or business. In return for our business, they donate a portion of proceeds from a specific evening back to the school.  

Please participate by eating in or placing an order for pick up at Chipotle in Sugar Land Town Center on October 26 between 4 pm- 8 pm, and they will give back 33% of the sales to the CWE PTA.

Congratulations to our August VIPS of the Month: Cissy Xiao. Cissy dedicated much time to update our website so that it was ready for the new school year. She also brought some new ideas and updates to the site, including a page to easily access Teacher Wish Lists. In addition to managing our website, Cissy took over the administration of our Facebook Page and put together our newsletters. Cissy is always quick to respond to questions and requests. We appreciate you, Cissy!!  

Just a reminder to make sure you have your district background check prior to volunteering with Commonwealth. We need you and your skills and are so appreciative of all of our volunteers. Volunteers are part of what makes Commonwealth such an amazing school!

Please report your volunteer hours for September through the PTA website. 

You can either enter for a specific date(s) or lump all of your September hours together and record under Sept 30, 2022 so they are recorded in the correct month. 

We love our volunteers and really appreciate all you do to help our school! Please help us know how many hours our wonderful parents are putting in to making our school the amazing school it is! Thank you!
